The Financial Times was once again the only daily newspaper to record a year-on-year circulation rise in the October ABCs, with a circulation of 449,385, a 2.2 per cent increase on this time last year.

Ad revenues at the Financial Times were up 9 per cent for the first nine months of the year, according to its parent company Pearson, which expects the paper to post double-digit margins by the end of 2007. The group posted a 17 per cent increase in operating profits over the period.
