Not being 18 with an unhealthy interest in MySpace and Facebook, E4's Fonejacker was never going to sit comfortably at the top of my list of programmes to watch. Think Lost with a hint of 'Nigella'. Yet it surreptitiously made it onto my viewing list thanks to a very bloody viral.

A year ago - well, maybe a bit more than that - nobody had heard of 118 118. We all called directory enquiries on 192, and a nice BT lady took our call and gave us the number we wanted. Nobody wanted a new service, and I for one didn't want to have to remember any more numbers. But the competition authorities...
