The Guardian s web site, Guardian Unlimited, is to be made available as content via mobile phones, handheld computers and digital television.
Computer and video games magazine publisher Future Publishing is launching a new monthly magazine on 16 May called PlayStation Power to capitalise on growing interest in Sony s latest generation of computer games.
A new monthly magazine covering the CD games market is launching this week. Ultimate PC is published by Rapide and will be targeted at the 15-30 age group, featuring reviews of the latest games.
Reed Business Information has promoted Computer Weekly editor Helena Sturridge to the roles of publisher for both her current magazine and recruitment supplement Computer Weekly Xtra!, and editorial director for all the nine magazines and five web sites within the Reed Computer Group.
VNU s mass-market computer magazine Computeractive has made Jim Lennox editor. Lennox, currently editor of Mobile Choice, replaces Mick Andon, who returns to his role as editorial director after caretaking the title when its first editor Jan Howells, left soon after the launch in February.
Specialist computer publisher Rapide will launch an independent Sony PlayStation title, Station, on 24 August. It will be Rapide s 11th magazine and will contain 132 pages of news, previews and reviews. Dave Perry, presenter of Sky TV s Games World, is the title s editor and publisher.
