STOP PRESS: One.Tel shortlists five firms for pitch

TELECOMS: One.Tel, the telecoms firm owned by British Gas and AA parent company Centrica, has compiled a shortlist of five firms for its consumer PR pitch. Communications manager Lucy Hotston confirmed incumbent Harvard PR was on the list and a decision is expected in the new year.

INTERNAL COMMS: Powergen has promoted internal communications manager Chris Whelan to the role of head of internal communications. She replaces Christina Davis, who left the utility company in June to join the Marsh consultancy. Whelan reports to director of corporate affairs Gareth Wynn.

PRODUCT: Pen manufacturer Stabilo has hired Manning Selvage & Lee to promote the launch of a range to target 12 to 29-year-olds. A major focus of the campaign will be university students. The MS&L account team reports to Stabilo marketing director Chris Reynolds.
