CONFERENCE: The IPR is next month staging a conference at the University of Bournemouth called Current Debates and Issues in Public Relations Research and Practice Conference. It will run from 10-12 April and covers issues including branding and the relationship between PR and culture.

CONSUMER: Good Relations has been appointed to launch the Daily Mail Ideal Home Show in the autumn. The agency won the business after handling the Daily Mail event three years ago. The show, which will run from 3-12 October at Earl's Court in London, last year attracted 440,000 visitors.
