VW Golf 'the great pretender' by DDB London

This new VW ad shows us a swaggering man, obviously pleased with life and success. His jokes make others roll their eyes and smother giggles but he clearly thinks a lot of himself, he doesn't seem to care. The character sees a doppelganger coming out of a building through the same double doors our character is entering. When this popular man drives off in his VW Golf, the power of understatement is clear. All action takes place to the tune of "The Great Pretender" and leaves the audience wondering if the great pretender of this ad will ever change.
