Mother’s first TV work for Stella’s 4 per cent variant follows the 60s French Riviera theme of the poster work that broke last month and attempts to position the brand as the smoothest 4 per cent lager.

I'm lost. Why the red shoes? Someone please explain? 60's France a bit cliched don't you think?

 The red shoes - to add humour to a very cliche'd 'oh he's so smooth' ending.

However, whilst not without it's merits - it's still very cliche'd and formulaic.
