Labour 'jedward' by Saatchi & Saatchi London
Saatchi & Saatchi London has just released new work for Labour - a mock-up of David Cameron and George Osborne as 'Jedward' of X Factor fame, warning voters that 'You won't be laughing if they win'.

Stupid .. to think that the whole country is remotely interested in this 'Jedward' drivel .. no hang on .. what am I saying ?! We are fools. Genius.
Still - would look much funnier with Brown and Meddleson under those quiffs !! :-D

Thinking about it for a minute longer I dislike it even more.
It says - 'we can't communicate with you on any sensible level .. so we use this lowest common denominator dirge to try to be ur buddy'
To$$.
Stupid To$$.
Try saying something worth saying. Try having & expressing clear & POSITIVE political & social vision.
- yeah either that or paste the faces of the opposition under the haircuts of 'Jedward'.
Nice.
Clever.

who said S&S had stopped working for the Tory party?! Surely an agency with Labour's best interests at heart would not advise them to spend thier election budget six months out on such meaningless and juvenile gags? S&S's 'nothing is impossibe' will surely be tested this coming May on this evidence.

Jedward are like pantomime villains that we love to hate but then secretly vote for.
This is more of an ad for the conservatives than labour as it places them within the realm of popular culture [which would be unachievable by themselves].
A bit of blue lighting should have been dropped on the faces too. Right now the poor photoshopping is just highlighting the childish nature of the poster.

Perhaps the point so to speak, is that if more of the UK put as much emphasis on who might win X factor than who might run the country...well, you get where I'm coming from.

What a pile of Sh*t.
bad production, bad idea... and labour really need to get away from trying to be cool by engaging with popular culture, 'cool britania' may have worked before but not now.
As S&S say "Labour isn't working"
Roy Murphy - 19 November 2009
Oh dear. Lowest common denominator meets lowest production value. Saatchi's indeed not working.
However, nice to see the gruesome twosome getting their comeuppance ahead of an unexpected yet thoroughly deserved kicking in the polls \(Cam&Oz not Ed&Ed)
Mark Griffiths - 19 November 2009
Or, in other words, 'Better the disaster you know, than the disaster you don't.' Do politicians never learn? And will S&S always take the money and laugh at the client? The Tories have always demonised Labour. Stooping to the Tories' level shows they've won. And that S&S have won, of course. Boy, aren't we all looking forward to the General Election campaign!

Not laughing now. Its terrible to see how inept Labour have become since losing their teeth in the media office, terrible to have it reinforced that it was all about spin all along. But good to see that S & S remain loyal to their oldest campaigns, and prove that Labour is w**king.
Vote for the Lib Dem.s to give honest ineptitude a chance.
James T Kirk - 23 November 2009
If this campaign makes the Labour party look bad, then what does the copy-cat campaign by the Tories say about them? In the words of the great Obi-Wan Kenobi|: "Who's the more foolish - the fool, or the fool who follows him?"
Andy Knell - 23 November 2009
Studio manager at Saatchis - please give me a cool about retouching artists, this work is not as good as it could be!
Brian George - 28 January 2010
Goodness, neither funny nor appropriate and such a shame given S&S great heritage on Tories previous campaigns
