Sand Pit

Specsavers latest TV spot uses a summery and topical Olympic theme to promote the retailer's summer sale.

The spot targets a broad cross section of consumers, with a core of 30 to 55 year old females, by opening with a schmaltzy mother and baby pastiche.

Both mum and child are lovingly playing in a sand pit but become rudely interrupted by a poor-sighted long jumper suddenly landing slap-bang in the child's sandcastle.

The now-famous ‘Should've Gone to Specsavers' voice-over kicks in with a ‘25% off' title.
