This Friends of the Earth campaign, called "the big ask" online march, urges the public to use their camera or mobile phone to record a short video clip of themselves asking their MP to support the campaign.

The ad, by CHI & Partners, features a series of clips of some of the celebrities supporting the Friends of the Earth CO2 emissions campaign, including James Blunt, Bill Oddie and Gillian Anderson. Each person highlights the importance of the campaign and appeals to the public to visit the website and join the online march.

The launch of "the big ask" online march coincides with a GfK NOP survey for Friends of the Earth, which reveals that over two thirds of people in the UK want the government to introduce a new law requiring UK carbon dioxide emissions to be cut every year.
