Ford 'desire' by Ogilvy Advertising

Ford is launching its new Mondeo and Ogilvy Advertising has created a 60-second TV spot backing it. The ad, which shows loads of cars with balloons tied to them floating into the air, is designed to show how he new marque will usher in a new era of automotive technology.  Set in London, the sky gradually becomes full of cars as a man stands outside his garage and watches a Mondeo drive past. He then stares at his own car before tying a bunch of balloons to it before it also floats away. The ad uses a mixture of special effects and real life floating cars. The lightest car in the spot was developed by a German company called Effekt Technik and weighs just four kilograms and can actually float if filled with helium.
