Industry awards are notorious for throwing up surprises and the PPA’s annual magazines honours are no exception. These awards represent such a broad spectrum of the UK publishing industry that there are plenty of opportunities for smaller titles to knock more illustrious rivals off their perch. This may dent a few egos on the awards night, but it makes the process much more interesting.
