of champagne.

This week’s mystery company is the UK division of a Swiss-based

firm.

It has a long history, dating back to 1866, and owns a number of leading

brands.

Its UK headquarters are in Croydon, although it also has a site in

York.

Last year, it spent almost pounds 50m on advertising across all its

brands. This company uses a roster of agencies including

McCann-Erickson, J Walter Thompson and Ogilvy & Mather.

This year it doubled its ad budget on one of its top brands - and one of

its most famous TV ad themes - as well as investing pounds 10m in new

packaging.

It employs 15,000 people in the UK.

- Michael Luney of Post Office Counters was the lucky winner of last

week’s teaser, correctly identifying Safeway
