offices both in the north of England and in London.
It has manufacturing sites in more than 35 countries and sells in over
120 countries.
The company dates back to 1814, although it sold one of the most famous
aspects of its business in May 1995. The last descendant of the founder
of this company retired in August 1995.
It uses a range of advertising agencies, including McCann-Erickson,
Saatchi & Saatchi and Cowan Kemsley Taylor. It has 29 brands in its
portfolio and spent around pounds 12m on advertising over the past
year.
