What have you been proudest of this year?

Winning the European Tour.

And what's been your biggest disappointment?

Losing any pitch.

When was the last time you surprised yourself?

"Boo!" one second ago.

If you could change one thing about the industry at the moment, what would it be (and why)?

This is very selfish. Time.

How do you get your creative juices flowing?

Being absolutely shit-scared of failure.

You're planning a fun night out. Who from the industry would be your (fantasy) playmates (and why)?

This is no fantasy for me. For a big, big, fun night out, it would still be Charles, Ian and Adrian. For the more considered  "What you doing Tuesday?" – Ben and Dan.

The internet has been banned. What do you miss most (and why)?

None of it and all of it. This is a love-hate relationship. Please read the next answer below…

What's the last Google search you did?

Wandsworth car parking permit. Two-and-a-half hours online and five phone calls.

The robots are coming. What would you get yours to do for you?

Pick up all the dog poo in Battersea park.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Georgie Best, John Lennon, 007, the Milky Bar Kid. I got to be the nearest thing – I work in advertising.

All the world's culture (art, music, literature etc) is about to be destroyed. What one thing would you save (and why)?

The Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres Catalunya. And the BBC's The World At War. Narrated by Lord Olivier and produced by Jeremy Isaacs. A haunting archive. We should never ever forget.

I'm still here because…

My mother and father put me here. Thank you Lionel and Ellen.
