What have you been proudest of this year?

Becoming assistant dean of the extraordinary Omnicom University, Omnicom's global leadership programme.

And what's been your biggest disappointment?

Being so overawed when being introduced to the Queen at Buckingham Palace that I forgot to curtsey.

When was the last time you surprised yourself?

When I picked up a Global Inspirational Leadership Award earlier this year… did that really happen to me?

If you could change one thing about the industry at the moment, what would it be (and why)?

Making data complexity more comprehensible. We're working on it.

How do you get your creative juices flowing?

By saying yes, and what if, and thought-jumping, and opening my brain when talking to all comers, and going to the theatre, and reading, and writing, and, hell, playing!

You're planning a fun night out. Who from the industry would be your (fantasy) playmates (and why)?

Seriously? In our industry, we're spoilt for choice. My OMG UK gang – board and team. My Babson gang. My LLLN gang. Fantasies couldn't be better than this!

The internet has been banned. What do you miss most (and why)?

Honestly? Facebook. I love it.

What's the last Google search you did?

Virgin Money Giving – checking in on how much money our amazing friends and colleagues have donated towards my husband's Lung Fung Rung fundraising.

The robots are coming. What would you get yours to do for you?

Wake me up with a very fine massage. Every morning.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Not what but who – Des Lynam.

All the world's culture (art, music, literature etc) is about to be destroyed. What one thing would you save (and why)?

Rada. I'm on its development board and it drives the acting pipeline in this country.

I'm still getting better.
