Give us one reason why advertising is still brilliant in 2019.

Because we’re still facing the same challenges we always have for our clients and brands but we have so many different ways to solve those problems and interact with consumers on a whole new level.

In 2019, I'll be using blockchain to…

Well, who knows? Probably something I would have never thought of. I have a worry it’s simply going to make me just spend more because it’s so easy, but I’d be keen to see how it could work for voting or something like that.

You decide to launch a brand. What is it called and what does it do?

I’m going to be a classic cliché but it would be called something rubbish like Make the Memories. It would essentially be some kind of digital miracle that allows you to capture a moment, save it and go back and experience it again and again. My children grow up so fast – blink and it’s gone.

When was the last time you felt professionally vulnerable and why?

Crikey, at least once a day. "Did I just hit reply all?" "Should I have said that to them?" I suppose a bit of vulnerability keeps you on your toes and stops you getting complacent.

Who is your favourite Instagrammer and why?

Mother_pukka. I wasn’t sure about her at first – I find Insta a bit contrived – but digging down there was a lot I could personally relate to. She uses her voice for a noble purpose. I’m passionate about shared parenting – a level playing field for working mums – and she does it with such good humour.

You win the lottery. What would you do first?

Holiday, every time. The bluest sea, whitest beach and the most luxurious accommodation I could find. Probably only after I'd called Mr Marks. Although, to be honest, it would be him calling me – he manages the "family" weekly entry. It’s essentially his quid so he could just leg it.

Name one thing you think is criminally overrated by industry, society or culture and explain why.

Instagram or social media as a whole. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in there. But as a fairly grounded individual, I do find it kind of winds me up a bit. There’s a lot of beauty and inspiration but I genuinely feel for the younger generations growing up in this environment with such unwanted pressure.

Name one thing you think is criminally underrated by industry, society or culture and explain why.

Time. Time to yourself. Time just spent with the people you love. Time not thinking about anything else but just being in the moment.

What is your go-to boxset binge?

Grey's Anatomy every single time.

Enough's enough: it's time the next Doctor Who was…

Nooooo. I love our current Doctor. Give her a go! She’s not had long enough.

If you weren't you, who in the industry would you like to be?

I think I’d really love to be someone who was starting day one of their first job. I’d love to see how my career would pan out if I were to start in our industry in 2018. I suspect it would be very different indeed.
