Avocado toast.

That it merits a catchy name.

You have to job swap with someone in our industry for one month. Who would it be with and why?

I'm changing the brief. So I'm job swapping Ed Catmull at Pixar. If we want to be a creative company, we need to learn from the best

Who is your best friend in the industry and why?

Based on time spent with it: my iPhone. In the spirit of His Dark Materials, my work daemon: Sarah Douglas. And a certain, overly energetic, recently departed Italian.

The Friday afternoon briefing for the 10am Monday review.

If you could uninvent one piece of technology, what would you choose and why?

Bread-making machines.

In the spirit of embracing failure… What has been your biggest screw-up?

To quote Thomas Edison: "I haven't failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that don't work."

What do you do to stay match fit?

Cycling and lumberjacking.

What would be your darts walk-on music and why?

Andrew Robertson chose Taylor Swift's Shake it Off for Sarah and me at a recent meeting. Neither of us knows why. Kind of worked, though. (Actually, it didn't. That's just a shameless attempt at trying to cover my arse in case he reads this.)

The lowdown:

Having split from his creative partner of more than two decades (the rather louder Adrian Rossi, who made a brief and ill-considered stint as chairman of Grey), Grieve didn’t sit around and, er, grieve. Instead, his leadership of AMV’s creative department has pushed it to new heights.
