Bye-bye the decade with no name. What are you relieved to draw a line under?

People wanging on endlessly about millennials.

What’s your biggest hope for the decade ahead?

I hope it is as much fun as this one has been. I also pray that my beautiful, sweet, angelic children don't turn into mute, aggro, smelly goth teenagers (I'm not holding out much hope on the latter).

And what’s top of your professional to-do list for the 2020s?

To be professional.

You have to job swap with someone in our industry for one month. Who would it be with and why?

I'd love to swap with the "don't give a fuck" version of me – I think it would be fun.

Who is your best friend in the industry and why?

I have many. I am as needy as I am fickle. So Tammy, Martin, Goffy, Alex, Dan, Jemima, Billy, Ant, Mike, David, Daniel, Sally, Ben, Mat, Mark, Matt, Rob, Gen, Ben, Anthony, Sam, Selma, and there are loads more I just can't remember their names.

What do you think the Friday feeling is?

It's like a poogasm but about not having to go to work, unless you are on a pitch and then it's a vinegary resentment.

Who or what would you put into room 101 and why?

#blessed 🔥 #smugoff

If you could uninvent one piece of technology, what would you choose and why?

TikTok. I want my kids back.

In the spirit of embracing failure… What has been your biggest screw-up?

Copying some copy from Gwyneth Paltrow's website and passing it off as my own.

What do you do to stay match fit?

I swear by a moondust matcha smoothie but the real golden ticket is the Mugworth intimate steam. You sit on what is essentially a mini throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam treats you to an energetic release. A real must if you are in LA. (See the failure question, sorry GP.)

What would be your darts walk-on music and why?

Run for Your Life by The Beatles (I'm not very good).

The lowdown:

Don’t be fooled by Brim’s utterly disarming and slightly shambolic discomfort; this man is on it. A sharp and insightful thinker and, of course, a genius creative who knows how to move the nation, Brim is also one of the nicest people in the business. First class.
