Bye-bye the decade with no name. What are you relieved to draw a line under?

Well, I was hoping to say Brexit. And Trump. General political nonsense. But alas...

What’s your biggest hope for the decade ahead?

And what’s top of your professional to-do list for the 2020s?

This I have to answer seriously: win agency of the year in the UK and the US.

You have to job swap with someone in our industry for one month. Who would it be with and why?

Chris Hirst because he has me to do all his work.

Who is your best friend in the industry and why?

I have an amazing team, who are my best friends in the industry and I am really lucky. They are all just bloody brilliant, smart and funny.

What do you think the Friday feeling is?

Recently doing headstands on the beach with my daughter in Australia. Who knew I could? Just great fun being just the two of us in a beautiful place on a great adventure.

Who or what would you put into room 101 and why?

Dicks. Just don’t be one.

If you could uninvent one piece of technology, what would you choose and why?

Zoom calls. I do lots. At all hours. A bit of a necessity but I really hate them.

In the spirit of embracing failure… What has been your biggest screw-up?

I screw up all the time. I try stuff. It fails. But if you don’t fail, you can’t learn. Don’t let the fear of failing again stop you from trying again. Just keep grafting.

What do you do to stay match fit?

What would be your darts walk-on music and why?

I was going to choose something cool, inspirational or intellectual. But, the truth is, most people would say Nine to Five by Dolly Parton (ps. I work really hard).
