The organisation is offering the Home Emergency Response policy to non-members and a discounted rate to members. It currently has in the region of 15 million people taking its motor breakdown cover.
The plumbing and electrician service, Home Assist, is being piloted in the South East.

The AA prides itself on great customer service and we believe that millions of householders will look to the AA to also help them in the home."
Past brand extensions have taken the AA into the insurance and financial services sectors.
