Abbott Mead shares spoils with TBWA at BTAA awards night

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO scooped the award for the top advertising agency at this year’s British Television Advertising Awards on Wednesday evening.

agency at this year’s British Television Advertising Awards on Wednesday

evening.



The agency’s work for BT, Guinness, Yellow Pages and its rear seat belts

campaign all scooped gold awards.



The award for the best commercial of the year, however, went to TBWA GGT

Simons Palmer and the production company, Gorgeous Enterprises, for the

Sony Playstation ad, ’double life’.



Gorgeous received the honour for the top production company. Two of its

ads, ’box’ for Lego by Bartle Bogle Hegarty and ’the unexpected’ for

Sony Stamina Camcorders by BMP DDB, also picked up gold awards.



Levi’s Sta-Prest campaign from BBH and Partizan Midi Minuit shared a

gold with the BT campaign from AMV and Stark Films for the best series

of commercials. Jeff Stark won the chairman’s award.



The charity gold went to Ogilvy & Mather and BFCS for the ’jolly’

Samaritans ad.
