Abel & Baker UK will carry on as Swedish parent closes down

The future of the digital agency Abel & Baker UK is in question following the news that its Swedish parent company has filed for bankruptcy.

Abel & Baker UK, operating as a limited company, is not being forced to close along with Abel & Baker Sweden and is considering operating independently.

Charlotte Neser, the managing director of Abel & Baker UK, confirmed that the agency was continuing to operate while the Swedish company goes into liquidation and stated that it was being approached by other companies.

"The UK business is strong at the moment and has been growing. We haven't been directly affected by what has happened in Sweden. We've been operating profitably on a monthly basis,

Neser said.

Abel & Baker UK, known for its high creative standards, set up in London in February last year and its clients include United Biscuits, MSN, AA and Virgin Mobile.
