At the heart of the game is a mystery - the disappearance of Chloe. Players can only unlock her story by playing the game, which features some of Andy Warhol’s rarely seen blotted-line ‘Silverpoint’ drawings.

"Absolut is a brand with a history of trailblazing collaborations, starting with Andy Warhol", said Pernod Ricard head of marketing, Adam Boita.

"Silverpoint experiments with new forms of storytelling through digital and gaming experiences," he added.

Absolut’s Andy Warhol limited edition bottles are available to buy now, with a percentage of profits going to The Andy Warhol Foundation.

Paul Bennun, chief creative officer at agency Somethin' Else said the game, which will develop over the next two weeks to a big reveal, was an experiment in fusing digital and real world experience.

The game, he said, used a combination of "really cool technologies" including iBeacon tech and personalisation to enhance the consumer experience.

"For content to have real value, it needs to be both real and valuable," something the app delivered, he said.
