Adland and media leaders star in Nabs viral ad

LONDON - CST Advertising's Dave Trott, MPG's Marc Mendoza and DDB London's Stephen Woodford are among the high-profile industry figures to star in a viral ad to promote the Nabs Big Bash event taking place later this month.

Created by Ogilvy Advertising, the spot sees the trio taking part in an underground poker game, competing against other media and advertising luminaries, including M&C Saatchi's Tiger Savage, MediaCom's Claudine Collins, Facebook's Blake Chandlee, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R's Damon Collins, and MGN's David Emin.

Despite the atmospheric setting, the game soon descends into farce as it quickly becomes clear that the players' poker skills are not as sharp as they let on.

The personalities play wildly against type and resort to different forms of cheating, stealing a glance at each other's cards and taking their competitors' chips.

The viral will be supported by a series of press and poster ads, as well as a website devoted to the event,, which has been created by OgilvyOne.

This year's Las Vegas-themed Nabs Big Bash will take place on 18 March at the Battersea Park Evolution.
