supermarket had previously not allowed advertising on its site.

Adlink has already sold several banner packages since picking up the

sales account two weeks ago.

The UK-based pan-European web sales house will continue to sell banners

for a few months before switching its focus to sponsorships and content

agreements.

Aside from offering information on food, drink, restaurants and

shopping, the site includes sections on business, travel, entertainment

and education. It attracts an upmarket audience and delivers four

million page impressions a month.

Richard Holman, Adlink UK managing director, said: ’We are pleased to be

working with such a premium brand. We see it as a springboard for future

expansion in this area.’

Adlink, which bought Holman’s outfit New Media Marketing & Sales in

February, has a portfolio of European clients including Le Figaro, Radio

France, Wallstreet Online and Yahoo! Sweden.
