It is understood that the company is talking to London- and Amsterdam-based agencies. The winning agency will create a campaign to promote Discovery's channel brands, including the flagship network, Discovery Channel, and Discovery Real Time.
The company currently uses a roster of European agencies; Beattie McGuinness Bungay holds the UK account.
The review follows the appointment of Rebecca Barrs Rormark in August as the senior vice-president of marketing for the UK.
In January, Discovery Networks Europe reviewed its £4 million media buying and planning account. Starcom retained the business.
