Agencies line up as KLM's budget airline buzz calls ad review

Buzz, KLM's low-cost airline, has been approaching agencies and is

believed to be gearing up for a pitch for its pounds 2 million

business.

Talks are at an early stage and a shortlist is thought to be in the

process of being drawn up. It is not known if WCRS, the incumbent, will

repitch.

The review would be conducted by Adam Harris, the airline's UK head of

sales and marketing, who joined buzz in June last year from Britvic,

where he was the senior brand manager for Tango.

Harris reports to Tony Camacho, the commercial director, who helped to

launch the airline in 1999 with a pounds 3 million campaign.

WCRS was appointed to launch the airline in 1999. Its recent work

includes a campaign in October, which supported special promotions

available, such as ski lessons.

The national press, poster and radio campaign came after plans to merge

buzz with BA's low-cost airline Go fell through following BA's failed

merger with KLM.
