Agency.com nets first Campaign Digital gold

LONDON - Agency.com clinched the top honour at the inaugural Campaign Digital Awards last night, winning the gold award for the best campaign for its NSPCC 'someone to turn to' work.

Dare won the most category prizes on the night, scooping four awards for Wanadoo and Axe (which triumphed in three different categories). Glue London won three awards, for Virgin Money, Virgin Atlantic and Pot Noodle.

The Digital Achiever of the Year was Mark Cridge, the glue London managing director, who sold his agency for £14 million to Aegis in August.

The Young Digital Achiever of the Year prize was awarded jointly to Sam Ball and Dave Bedwood, the creative directors at Lean Mean Fighting Machine, in recognition of their creative leadership of the sector.

Cridge, who was also the jury chairman, said: "Crucial to the ongoing success of these awards is that the work should be judged against the creative standards of our traditional compatriots.

"This first year of the Campaign Digital Awards celebrates a few excellent examples of work."
