HOW TO GET AHEAD: WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK FOR ... ANM - It’s young, fun and boasts a luminous floor - it can only be a new-media sales office

Good office? On Charlotte Street in London’s West End. ’We’re

particularly fond of our luminous yellow floor that welcomes us every

morning,’ they claim. But with easy access to Soho’s late-night drinking

dens, sunglasses might be essential on hungover mornings.

What’s it like? ’We are the online arm of DMGT, with great brands and a

proven track record. We work hard and play hard, as they say. We’re

independent, constantly evolving and rapidly growing in numbers. It’s

fun, friendly and you have to like your food and booze.’

What about perks? Subsidised gym and loads of company jollies. If that’s

not enough, you’re also entitled to five weeks holiday, a company

pension and healthcare. Not to mention the (allegedly) ’renowned

Associated bonuses’.

Is it good at training? Recruits get inhouse training, where they learn

the ropes in all the departments, and external courses focusing on

individual needs.

How does it recruit? ’We generally use recruitment consultants and word

of mouth. But good sales people can come from anywhere, so we’re open

minded. If you think you’ve got what it takes then give us a call.’

How do you get ahead? You have to be hard working, dedicated and love

the business. You also need to be creative and have a genuine interest

in what your clients are looking to achieve.
