Lennox Lewis returned with a world title belt from his bout in Las

Vegas with Evander Holyfield. And Mail on Sunday group head Simon Davies

came back with a big wad.

Davies travelled to Vegas with MoS colleague Rob Atkinson, M&C Saatchi’s

Nick Hurrell, CDP’s Peter Thomson and Metro’s Ben Davey, who is,

incidentally, a relative of Lewis’s manager Frank Maloney.

Atkinson says: ’Everybody was losing money at roulette and blackjack but

Simon hit the craps tables, which the rest of us didn’t know how to

play. At one point he was a grand up, but they changed the dealer and he

started losing quickly. He saw the way it was going so called in his

chips at 6.30am - pounds 750 up.’
