MediaCom associate director Les Middleton is happy to admit he has
’enjoyed a few jollies’ in his time.
But his all-time favourite was the trip run by Haymarket’s car titles -
Autocar, Autosport and Classic and Sportscar - to the 24 hours of Le
’They flew about a dozen agency folk out there and we arrived in time to
see the start of the race,’ says Middleton.
’It’s a fabulous occasion, but we seemed to see more of the local
hostelries and restaurants than we saw of the cars.’
Of course, being a 24-hour affair, it’s a jolly that doesn’t eat into too
much of a buyer’s free time. ’We saw the race end at 4pm but I was back
home for my tea by the evening.’
