ever lie in the interests of your job?’



Avoid: ’You’ve seen my CV - what do you think?’ It’s a good gag, but

you’ll need to follow it with the real answer. Try: ’I wouldn’t lie, but

I can bullshit until the cows come home if I think it’ll get me a deal.’

And if the interviewer presses the point, you could say: ’Who hasn’t

laid the old flattery on with a trowel occasionally?’
