AirTouch Cellular to consolidate $100m creative account

The advertising agency selected will replace the six agencies currently responsible for AirTouch advertising around the world. The move follows the start of a media centralisation exercise in which a decision is expected late in August.

The US-based AirTouch has said the review process will kick off in the next few weeks when agencies will be invited to participate.

Incumbent firms are likely to be considered for the new assignment. AirTouch currently works with: TBWA Chiat/Day, Mering and Associates, BBDO/Minneapolis, Bozell/Costa Mesa, Bozell/Detroit and Alcone Communications Group.

AirTouch Cellular is a subsidiary of AirTouch Communications, the largest wireless company in the world. AirTouch owns interests in cellular, paging, and personal communications services in the United States and 12 other territories.
