- Alasdair Ritchie, the former chief operating officer of TBWA International, has been appointed by the Interpublic owned sports and events marketing unit, Advantage, to the new post of London-based president-marketing for Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

Ritchie departed TBWA in September after seven years with the network. His departure came at the same time as around 20 staff were made redundant, as a result of the merger which took place between TBWA Simons Palmer and BDDP GGT earlier this year.

His appointment comes as Advantage changes its name from Advantage International and formally absorbs sister agency, API Group, London, which will operate as part of Advantage.
