The 90-second film forms part of the content of the evening, and will be shown without any Amnesty branding.
A branded version will then run on television and in UK cinemas, before being rolled out globally.
Directed by Kim Gehrig through Academy Films, the film uses the strapline "you are powerful", and follows seven ordinary people, such as a father, a young teenager, an elderly woman and a mother-to-be, shot in everyday scenes.
The action then cuts to composited images of the characters intervening in situations of human-rights abuses.
A track, entitled Until the Day is Done, from REM's new album Accelerate, accompanies the film.
