Amnesty International "Family-free zone" by VCCP

As part of its efforts to reunite refugee families, Amnesty International UK created a "family-free zone" on London's Southbank on 2 March.

The experience entailed two security guards patrolling the area, telling families that they couldn’t enjoy the view, take pictures, sit, chat or eat in the zone together. The only way they could pass through the area was to split up. The campaign aimed to highlight the ridiculous and seemingly arbitrary nature of existing law. It was created by Nick Sheppard and Tom Webber and directed by Chris Faith through MindsEye.
