AMS is hatching plans for a campaign to break later this year after

winning the planning and buying account for Breathe Right, a nasal

decongestant.

Breathe Right is best known for its use by sportsmen, such as Liverpool

footballer Robbie Fowler, to control their breathing.

The product has a domestic use for relieving congestion caused by

allergies and can also be used to prevent snoring.

The agency picked up the account from Expert Media, after Seuter

Healthcare secured the distribution for Breathe Right and carried out a

media review.

CNS, a specialist in health and personal hygiene products, manufactures

Breathe Right in US.

Breathe Right’s last significant advertising campaign appeared two years

ago when the brand used a combination of TV and press.

This year’s campaign is likely to follow a similar strategy, although

AMS would not confirm whether the new campaign would be run nationally

or at a local level.

According to AC Nielsen MMS, the brand has not been active in the past

12 months.

CNS manufactures a number of health products under the Breathe Right

banner. These include nasal strips, saline nasal sprays and pillow

barriers.

Paul Phelps, development director at AMS, is responsible for new

business at the agency.

Frank Lyons, media director, and Steve Jenkins, media manager, head the

agency’s media buying department.
