Campaign staff choose ’eggs’, the Queen Elizabeth Fund for Disabled
People commercial, awarded the special prize at the 1995 Cannes
International Advertising Festival: ’This extraordinary ad featured a
disabled woman making breakfast, with no commentary. It forced you to
watch without resorting to any of the shock tactics so many charities
rely on. The endline, ’After seeing this do you really find it so
difficult to write a cheque?’, said it all.’ Written and art directed by
Peter Souter and Paul Brazier, directed by David Garfath at the Paul
Weiland Film Company.
