The pair, who have been working freelance since leaving Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R earlier in the year, join as creative directors.
Reporting to Paul Brazier, AMV's executive creative director, they will work across a number of accounts, but specifically will lead the creative on Heinz and Defra.
Brazier said: "Steve and Martin are a fantastic team with a wealth of experience and awards. They are a very welcome addition to our creative department."
Jones added: "AMV is an agency we've always wanted to work at, and we've joined at a particularly exciting time."
The duo joined RKCR/Y&R in October 2006. There, they worked on much of the agency's COI business as well as the E.ON account, before it moved to TBWA\London.
Before that, Jones and Loraine were at DDB, where they worked on the VW account and created "Singing in the Rain", as well as the "crosswords" campaign, which won them a D&AD silver in 2005.
