AMV launches joint venture with Stream

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO is launching a division of the Omnicom brand entertainment specialist, Stream.

The agency has signed a joint-venture deal in a bid to offer all of its clients instant access to branded entertainment solutions.

A number of full-time Stream staff will now move into AMV's offices.

Georgie Summerhayes, the president of Stream International, said: "The European market for branded entertainment is booming, and this is further evidence of its growing importance to clients. AMV gets us and it gets what we do."

Ian Pearman, the managing partner at AMV, added: "Stream is best-in-class and having its capabilities in-house will allow us to bring yet another dimension to what we can do for our clients."

Mike Falconer and Summerhayes launched TBWA\Stream in the UK in 2001.

AMV is the third London-based Omnicom agency to launch a joint venture with the company. DDB London launched a Stream division last year.

The branded content division specialises in creating bespoke advertising opportunities for client's brands by offering expertise in music, entertainment, publishing, production and filmmaking.

In May this year, Summerhayes opened an Asia-Pacific Stream office in Sydney. The launch follows the branded- content company's expansion across mainland Europe last year, which saw the business set up offices in France, Germany and Finland.
