AMV scoops dot com swap-shop account

- Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO has won the SwapitShop.co.uk advertising account.

The agency will launch a £2million Christmas campaign for the site, which hired former Blue executives Bill Paterson and Paul Simonet earlier this year.

AMV will also handle the site's development in the US and other regions. Andrew Robertson, chief executive of AMV, said: "This is an internet model where everybody leaves the party with a balloon – the kids, their parents, the promotional partners and SwapitShop itself."
