Andras Vigh named Blue 449 global chief executive

Blue 449, ZenithOptimedia Group's open source communications network, has appointed Andras Vigh as its global chief executive.

Vigh was previously the chairman for VivaKi and ZenithOptimedia across Greater China. At Blue 449 he will be in charge of its rollout and strategic development.

He will be based in London from the end of the year and work alongside James Shoreland, the global managing director, and Sebastien Danet, the chairman of the supervisory board of Blue 449. The three will create a global leadership team for the new network.

Before his Greater China role, Vigh was the global managing director at Performics, ZenithOptimedia’s performance marketing network. Prior to this he was the chief executive at ZenithOptimedia across Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Nordics.

Steve King, the worldwide chief executive at ZenithOptimedia, said: "Andras has considerable experience in both agency leadership and in rolling out a global network.

"As a highly respected innovator and strategist, he is ideally placed to take the helm of Blue 449 and to develop its Open Source approach to communications."

Walker Media was rebranded to Blue 449 in March. It has offices in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Australia. It plans to have 17 city offices by the end of the year.
