Andy Mitchell quits O&M digital role for DoubleClick launch

DoubleClick, the US online sales house that launched in the UK last week, has raided Ogilvy & Mather for a managing director to run its new London office.

DoubleClick, the US online sales house that launched in the UK last

week, has raided Ogilvy & Mather for a managing director to run its new

London office.



Andy Mitchell, the digital development director at O&M, will take up his

new position in mid-November. He will be joined by Paul Castro,

CompuServe’s UK ad manager, who began work as sales manager at

Double- Click this week. John Barabeno, who works for DoubleClick in the

US, will take on the role of international business development director

in the UK.



Mitchell, who worked with Ford and IBM at O&M, said: ’UK advertisers are

demanding accountability and the opportunity to integrate digital media

across broader campaigns. DoubleClick delivers in both these areas.’



DoubleClick’s UK office will be based in Haymarket, London, and will

have an initial team of five or six staff.
