Rovio, the company that creates Angry Birds, either has a marketing budget to be reckoned with or its production company is a miracle worker, because the new spot for the popular mobile game is a visual treat.
Wieden & Kennedy created the live-action online film, which opens on a tropical island where smug-looking pigs are relaxing. But the peace and quiet is soon interrupted by the Angry Birds, who dive-bomb their sworn enemies, turning the paradise into carnage. The ad was shot on an Island in the Bahamas, Big Major Cay, where wild pigs really do swim in the sea. This is Wieden & Kennedy's first work for Rovio and is backed by social media activity. It was created by Paddy Treacy, Philippa Beaumont, Mark Shanley, Artur Faria and David Goss, and directed by François Rousselet through Riff Raff.
