Newman has had a busy 12 months. He is currently working on a brand platform with creative agency Anomaly London, while over the past year, the charity’s income from its Race for Life event has grown by £1m. He has also delivered a major restructure across Cancer Research’s brand and marketing to improve effectiveness, and is working on streamlining all the charity’s marketing processes. It’s no surprise, then, that his first love is marketing and he is not remotely interested in taking on a CEO role. When he reaches retirement, he wants people to say of him that he "was a good laugh".
