Rise's appointment comes ahead of a push from the APA to target marketers and agency planners with key messages about customer magazines. It will work with the APA on the best strategy and channels to achieve this.
The agency won the business after a pitch, which was handled through the AAR.
Last year, the APA developed an effectiveness research programme, in association with Millward Brown, to demonstrate the effectiveness of customer magazines as a marketing tool.
Julia Hutchison, the director of the APA, said: "We were looking for a strategic communications agency. Last year, we put the building blocks in place with evidence that customer magazines are valuable, now we'll be looking with Rise at developing routes to market."
