Client: Health Education Authority
Product: Drugs Education
This campaign moved drugs education on from ’just say no’ to ’know the
score’. Research revealed young people want to talk about drugs but do
not trust adults for reliable information. The campaign aimed to
encourage people to take decisions about drugs based on fact rather than
hearsay.
The agency used youth radio and magazines so the audience felt it
’owned’ the media and trusted it.

Product: Use your vote
In 1996, the Ministry of Sound approached BMP DDB to create a campaign
to encourage young people to vote. Research showed young people were
passionate about single issues. The campaign used talking heads to show
potential voters how they could use their vote to cancel out that of
someone opposing their views.
