Ammirati Puris Lintas has launched a glitzy Christmas commercial
for Quality Street, reintroducing the famous endline from the 70s:
’What’s your favourite favourite?’
The 40-second film, entitled ’points of view’, aims to reflect the magic
of the sweets as well as giving the brand a more contemporary feel.
The ad, which is shot in vivid colour, features four different homes on
a magical Quality Street.
Inside, we meet a series of shiny people who have clothed themselves and
decorated their homes in the style and colour of their favourite
sweet.
The ad is backed by a Nat King Cole version of the My Fair Lady song,
The Street Where You Live.
Jonathan Box, Nestle group product manager, commented: ’This exciting
new campaign for Quality Street puts the focus back on the magic of the
sweets.
The colourful visual imagery together with Nat King Cole’s warm musical
tones combine to produce a truly arresting commercial. It is sure to
reinforce Quality Street’s universal appeal.’
The ad was created at APL by the copywriter, Adam Denton, and the art
director, Andy Fairless. It was directed by the New Renaissance through
Pink. Media planning is by APL, with buying through MindShare.
The film breaks Monday on national terrestrial and satellite television
and will run until Christmas.
The commercial follows a 20-second spot which ran throughout September
and October to launch a new pack design and to introduce four new sweets
- Fruits of the Forest, Vanilla Octagon, Hazelnut Eclair and Fruit and
Nut Delight.
