The company has contacted a number of agencies about a brief to help it increase online sales of Apple products.
Agencies have been asked to provide information about how they would use direct marketing and online to drive customers and prospects to specific product sites and to make purchases at the Apple online store.
Apple has previously relied on a mixture of online customer communications, developed in-house, and an affiliate marketing programme for the majority of its online sales activity.
In the UK, Apple works with TBWA\London and Manning Gottlieb OMD. Its online media buying is handled by Profero.
